On offer another incredible Bargain - a stunning landscape with houses by renowned South African Artist, Barbara Ploner. The acrylic on board is framed in a quality gilded frame with inner canvas mounting. It measures 79x64cm (with frame) and 59x44cm (painting only). The painting is in excellent condition with no damage to report, the frame has a small nick on the top of the frame (see last pic), not noticeable once the painting is hung.
Ploner was born in 1946 in Dundee and developed a deep love for Africa, it's landscapes and its people. This is evident in her colourful interpretations of African people and her moody landscapes and seascapes. She is a versatile artist working in both oils and acrylics.
Her works have been exhibited extensively and grace both private and corporate collections in South Africa and internationally. Selected Exhibitions: The South African Cardiff Arts, Culture and Decor Show (UK), The National Black Arts Festival (USA), The New York Art Expo (USA), The Madiba Restaurant (USA), The Antiquarius Gallery in Soho (USA).
Ploner was one of a selected few South African artists invited to produce artworks for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, displayed at the draw in Cape Town (2009). These works have been recognized as Official Licensed Products of this event.
