Giorgio Zuppini who often signed his art as Salvo 1938-1990

Giorgio Zuppini was born in Milano, Italy.

In 1961 He took up his art studies at the famous Castello Sforzesco Art School. As a student he showed great promise and was awarded a gold medal for his work.

His exhibition history began in 1970 when his paintings were shown at a major international exhibition held in Milano. Since then his works have been exhibited across Europe and beyond, in particular, Japan where a number of galleries sell his work.

Zuppini spent a lot of time painting around the islands of the Aegean Sea where he was particularity attracted to the very clear light in which he painted using wonderful clear and fresh colours.

Zuppini died in a tragic accident in 1990 at the age of 52
