In aid of SEA RESCUE, comedian Nik Rabinowitz will MC your event.

 Sea Rescue is run by 980 unpaid volunteers who are on duty day and night throughout the year. 

The NSRI began in 1967 and is a humanitarian service, at no charge to the public.  There are currently 32 stations around the South African coastline and three inland rescue bases on dams.   

The NSRI’s pro-active education programme, WaterWise, ensures that those most at risk of drowning, 9-14 year olds in rural and disadvantaged communities around South Africa are taught what to do in an emergency, who to call for help and how to start basic bystander CPR while they wait for the ambulance to arrive.

All head office costs are funded by our Platinum Partners and all other donations we receive go towards the true costs of a rescue such as boats and equipment, fuel and medical supplies.

Nik Rabinowitz, World #1 Jewish Xhosa-speaking comedian, was raised on the mean, green streets of Constantia, Cape Town; a world of ride-bys on horseback, piano lessons, and unrelenting love and financial support from family members. He grew up on a farm, climbing trees and commentating on his own rugby games, in Afrikaans.

The winning bid will secure Nik as the MC of a function for 4 hours. This will include a 20 minute comedy slot. The value of this item is R24,000 and 100% of the proceeds of this auction will go to the National SEA RESCUE Institute.

This must be redeemed within 6 months of closing date of the auction and is subject to mutual availability. The purchaser of this item is responsible for any travel costs from Cape Town as well as accommodation and meals for Nik Rabinowitz if outside of Cape Town.
