Adelio Zagni Zeelie, 1911-1991. South African artist from Italian heritage. Painted both under the names Zagni and Zeelie, the latter to disguise the Italian heritage during the WWII years, during which he was very active as an artist. Painted primarily landscapes and seascapes, particularly of Natal and Cape scenes. Few still lifes are also known.
