This charming dish was made by Arthurwood, England
It features scenes from Dickens novels -- "Oliver asks for more"-- from Oliver and "David Dines with Mr Micawber" from David Copperfield.
The porcelain was some crazing and there is a small hairline crack on the lid (it is not very obvious -- I did not see it at first)
The inside of the dish is stained (please refer to the pictures)
I presume this is a butter dish (it features a base with a lid). The base is 15.5cm wide and the lid is 11.5cm wide.
I think this a rather charming little piece :) Great for any Dickens fan!
